See It. Dream It. Do It.
What’s your dream job? NRE Tas supports and encourages women in operational and field-based roles, where females have traditionally been underrepresented.
Emily Spencer, Research Microbiologist at Biosecurity Tasmania, develops vaccines to keep fish species healthy; while Graduate Ranger with Tasmania Parks & Wildlife, Taylor Benny, works to protect and manage the parks and reserves of the West Coast.
Rebecca Burk, Biosecurity Inspector at Biosecurity Tasmania, plays a vital role in protecting the State from the negative impacts of pests, diseases and weeds; while wildlife officer, Olivia Barnard, cares for captive devils at the Cressy Wildlife Centre in her work for the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program.
The following video clips showcase some of the work carried out by female staff at NRE Tas.
