Expressions of interest are being sought for the position of Chair of the Tasmanian Spatial Information Council (TASSIC).
The Tasmanian Spatial Information Council (TASSIC) was established in 2008 to facilitate increased collaboration and cooperation between public, private and community sectors in the collection, maintenance and use of spatial information in Tasmania.
The Chair is an independent member of the Council, appointed for three-year terms by the Minister for Parks on the recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas).
The Chair is expected to take an active role in representing the Council to stakeholders, liaise with government and keep informed on issues relating to the development and use of a more effective spatial information infrastructure.
Applicants should possess suitable experience, skills and leadership abilities.
