Feedback Forums - Draft Deer Management Plan

​The Department has prepared a draft Wild Fallow Deer Management Plan. 

​The final Plan will function as a single point of reference for wild fallow deer management in Tasmania for 2022-2027.

Forums have been organised to allow members of the public to provide feedback on the draft plan.

The draft plan aims
  • to minimise the wild fallow deer population in areas with significant natural values
  • to address the agriculural, commercial, environmental and public safety impcats associated with the growth and increased distribution of deer populations in Tasmania
  • to recognise that deer are an important hunting resource.
