Government Response to the Review of the Racing Regulations Act 2004

On 8 June 2022, the Government released the Review of the Racing Regulation Act 2004: Securing the Integrity of the Tasmanian Racing Industry (the Monteith Review) by independent racing expert Mr Dale Monteith.

The Government has carefully considered each of the recommendations and confirms support, or in-principle support, for all of the recommendations contained within the Monteith Review.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania will progress implementation of the reforms. Further consultation on draft legislation will occur in early 2023.
