Grants to support heritage properties

​​​​​Applications are now open for the new Built Heritage Grants Scheme​.

The first round of the grants scheme features $1 million of funding through two programs, the Conservation Program and the Activation Program.

Under the Conservation Program, small grants of up to $20,000 are available for conservation works to Tasmanian heritage listed properties.

These smaller grants are designed to support owners of these properties to conserve and restore these places so that they can be enjoyed for generations to come.

While grants of up to $200,000 are available under the Activation Program for projects designed to reinvigorate heritage places.

This is to assist heritage buildings be better utilised to increase visitor demand and experience, as well as develop our built heritage conservation workforce.

These grants are designed to support Tasmania’s valuable built heritage assets and to help ensure they are not only valued and maintained but also can be appreciated for generations to come.
