While significant progress has been made in achieving the current Plan's objectives, challenges in managing cats continue to pose risks to public health, agriculture, and Tasmania’s unique environment.
A key aim of this Discussion Paper is to identify important areas for improvement and present potential options that build on the achievements and outcomes of the existing Tasmanian Cat Management Plan
Responsible cat ownership must be a shared responsibility if we are to reduce the impact of cats on the environment and agriculture, now and into the future.
