NRE Tas staff in training

Staff from multiple divisions across NRE Tas and EPA are participating in the National Biosecurity Response Team bridge training this week, being delivered in conjunction with Animal Health Australia.

Our staff will learn about the theory and national policies that underpin emergency response and how they are applied at both a state and national level. At the end of training our staff will have an even stronger understanding of biosecurity emergency responses within Tasmania and will be ready to be deployed on emergency responses both within Tasmania and states or territories around the country.

Being prepared for possible biosecurity emergencies is one of the most important aspects of protecting Tasmania from pests and diseases, and our staff are now even better prepared to step up and help protect Tasmania if there are any new pest or disease incursions.
