Request for EOIs for key roles for Tasmania’s Container Refund Scheme

​The Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania is seeking Expressions of Interest from entities interested in providing state-wide Scheme Coordinator and Network Operator services for the Container Refund Scheme, as part of a multi-stage procurement process.

The Scheme Coordinator is responsible for the administration and financial management of the Scheme, including audit activities.

The Network Operator is responsible for managing a network of refund points, where an eligible container can be returned for a 10-cent refund. The Network Operator is responsible for the logistics and handling of container materials, ensuring these are recycled.

Details for both roles, including the requirements to register your interest and the qualification criteria, are available on the Tasmanian Government Tenders website​ (tender IDs: NRET EP 2125-1 and NRET EP 2125-2). Only those successful in the Expression of Interest stage will be invited to participate in the Request for Tender stage.
