World Wetlands Day marks the anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Convention) in Ramsar, Iran on 2 February 1971.
Friends of Tamar Island Wetlands Reserve are holding a working bee today, as well as guided tours today and Saturday at 10am.
A scavenger hunt will also run from 2-14 February at the centre which will include a goodie bag for anyone who completes the challenge.
Limited spaces are available for the guided tour on Saturday 5 February and the scavenger hunt. Please email foftiwr@gmail.com to book in for the working bee, or TIWC@parks.tas.gov.au or phone 6327 3964 to secure your spot for the tour or scavenger hunt.
