​Every organisation has a culture. 

Organisational culture, simply described as 'the way we work around here' includes shared:

  • values

  • beliefs​

  • attitudes

  • assumptions 

How We Work Framework​

We implemented the How We Work framework to ensure we have an effective workplace culture that: 

  • makes NRE Tas a great place to work

  • supports us to achieve our purpose of ‘delivering a sustainable Tasmania’

Within the framework we have four Principles, each with three underlying Behaviours. These:

  • ​act as a signpost for how we work at NRE Tas

  • determine how we interact with each other, our stakeholders, and our community

  • underpin how we make decisions while at work

Four Principles

  1. We put Tasmania at the heart of everything we do 
    This means focusing on sustainability, partnering with our communities and stakeholders and utilising our resources effectively. 

  2. We act with integrity 
    This is our commitment to respect, safety, accountability, diversity and inclusion. 

  3. We work together 
    This means building connections, collaborating and sharing our knowledge and experience. 

  4. We pursue the extraordinary 
    This is aiming for excellence, learning, growing, and celebrating who we are and what we do.
