Developing a New Tasmanian Agriculture Strategy

The Tasmanian Government is working with farmers and agribusiness to develop a new long-term Agriculture Strategy for Tasmania.

The strategy will focus on boosting productivity and unlocking opportunities across freight, agritourism, education, infrastructure and workforce development.

Research, Development and Extension (RD&E) and the adoption of smarter technologies, data-driven practices and precision agriculture will be essential for future industry growth. This will also be an important focus of the new Strategy.

Agriculture Strategy Survey

The survey closed on 31 May 2026.

Survey results will be provided in due course.
