Assessment of the National Land Salinity Indicators in Tasmania

Four indicators have been developed for the evaluation and monitoring of land salinity in Australia. These are:

  • depth to groundwater

  • groundwater salinity

  • baseflow salinity

  • and location, size and intensity of salt-affected areas.

This is the full report for the 2006 National Land and Water Resources Audit-commissioned Tasmanian project to trial the applicability of the recommended national indicators and protocols for the evaluation of land salinity.
