​Bobby Calf Tags​​

From 1 January 2025, it is mandatory for all bobby calves to have a National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) approved electronic identification device (eID) before leaving their property of birth. 

This includes all bobby calves that go direct to slaughter at Tasmanian Quality Meats (TQM).

Unsafe Cattle

Producers who are unable to tag their cattle in a safe manner, must obtain a permit prior to dispatching cattle without NLIS identification. Please use the application form below:
