AgCard is a pre-induction tool developed by Primary Employers Tasmania. It is designed to: assist farm employers and employees identify and manage workplace health and safety risks provides essential awareness and understanding of WH&S procedures and human resources principles

TasT​​AF​​​E

TasTAFE can help you gain the skills you need to gain a nationally recognised skillset, qualification, or apprenticeship/traineeship.

If you have lost your job due to COVID-19 you may be eligible to access up to $3,000 through Rapid Response Skills Training Support funding​ for TasTAFE learning.

Lead and Co​ach Agri Workers

This course will give you the skills to lead and coach a team of agri-workers. You’ll learn how to match tasks to workers, coordinate and assign duties to get the job done. As part of SKILL UP, there are no fees for this course. More information is available on the TasTAFE website.​​

Agri s​​kills En​try Pr​ogram

This program provides job-ready skills sought after by employers. The program is a pathway into employment and potential transition into either a Certificate II traineeship or Certificate III apprenticeship. More information is available on the TasTAFE website.

​Universi​​​ty​ ​​of Tasmania - ​Associate Deg​ree in​​​ Agribusiness

The Asso​ciate Degree in Agribusiness​ has been developed in consultation with industry experts and they are actively involved in its delivery. It has a practical focus and industry-based syllabus which will make you ‘workplace ready’ after two years full-time study.

Job Tr​​ainer F​​​​und

The JobTrain​er Fund​​ is a joint initiative of the Australian and Tasmanian Governments and supports no-cost training (full qualifications and skillsets) for Tasmanian job seek​ers, school leavers, and young people aged 17-24. ​

Job Re​​ady Fund

This fund will provide eligible Tasmanians with up to $500 to assist with costs associated with becoming job ready which will include White Card accreditation, Working with Vulnerable People registration and the purchase of protective clothing or tools. The program will be rolled out through the existing Skills Matching Service provider -​ Searson Buck Group Pty Ltd.
