Regulatory Impact Statement - Draft Plant Quarantine Amendment Regulations 2019
The Tasmanian Government is committed to providing opportunities for industry and community involvement in the development of Government policy.
A Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) was prepared in accordance with Schedule 2 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 for public consultation in July 2019. The RIS provides complete information of the changes to fees for specific inspection services, an assessment of the known impacts of the changes and the initiatives that will be supported to strengthen Tasmania’s biosecurity systems.

Submissions to the RIS closed on 30 July 2019.
A total of twelve public submissions to the Regulatory Impact Statement were made during the consultation period. Four submissions have been kept confidential at the request of the writer. A summary of the non-confidential submissions is provided in the document below.
