  • Animal Welfare (Transport of Livestock) Regulations
    The Tasmanian Governmment is reviewing the laws that govern the transport of livestock within Tasmania. It is proposed that changes need to be made in relation to the trasnport of horses and bobby calves. The Australian Standards for the Transport of Livestock provide the appropriate legisaltive changes that the Tasmanian Government is seeking to adopt. Find out more and have your say HERE.

    The Animal Welfare Act 1993 and associated regulations prescribe animal welfare offences and set minimum standards of care.
  • Animal Welfare Standards & Guidelines
    Mandatory Standards which are legislated as regulations under the Animal Welfare Act 1993, and Guidelines which are accepted best industry practice that provide guidance on how to care for animals in certain situations.
