Livestock Traceability Requirements

​​​​​Livestock traceability is critical to the agricultural industry for many reasons. Owners of sheep, goats, cattle and pigs, as well the rest of the supply chain and livestock event holders all have an important role to play to ensure Tasmania can maintain strong market access, food safety and effective biosecurity.

The Biosecurity (Livestock Traceability) Regulations 2024​ provide the requirements for identifying and moving identifiable livestock.​​
