The Tasmanian Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment (DPIPWE) sought comments on the strategies, objectives and recovery actions outlined in the Draft Tasmanian Devil Recovery Plan (the plan).
Draft Tasmanian Devil Recovery Plan (426 KB)The plan has been prepared in consultation with a range of stakeholders. It is intended to act as an overarching strategic document, which identifies the key threats, options and actions required to ensure the recovery of the Tasmanian devil (
Sarcophilus harrisii). The plan does not attempt to detail specific conservation activities and projects or the allocation of resources to these activities.
Current conservation actions are undertaken through the
Save the Tasmanian Devil Program.
