Marine Environment

​​​​​​​​​​NRE Tas manages many different aspects of the marine environment, including: 

  • aquatic biosecurity 

  • fishing and aquaculture 

  • invasive marine pests 

  • marine mammals and seabirds 

  • marine reserves 

  • marine stressors 

We also work with research partners, industries, volunteers, communities and other government agencies to better understand the marine environment and support informed decision-making.
