Report Invasive Species

Biosecurity is everyone's responsibility. We all have a role to play in protecting Tasmania from invasive plants, animals, and marine pests. 

Report sightings of exotic and invasive pests to limit their spread in Tasmania.

​​​What to include in a report

​Helpful information to include in a report:

1. ​Record the location using:
   ​​- a screen shot of your location on a map
   - the exact address
   - GPS coordinates
   - or enable geo-tagging on your camera, and take a photo.

2. Take a photo of the suspected pest. ​If possible:
   - take multiple photos from different angles
   - include an object for size reference
   - take a photo in the original place the pest has been found
   - include some habitat
   

3. Make a report
   - use the invasive species report or enquiry form
   - email us at biosecurity.tasmania@nre.tas.gov.au 
   - call us at 1300 368 550
