CIRCULAR MEMORANDUM: 1/2002DISTRIBUTION: SOLICITORS/SURVEYORS/BANKS
SUBJECT: Notices of Sale
In conjunction with the State Revenue Office the Recorder of Titles has agreed to re-design the existing Notice of Sale forms (NOS 1 and NOS 2) to capture the intended property usage of the Transferee/Purchaser.
A new section has been added, titled "Will this property be the Principal Place of residence of the Transferee/Purchaser?". The form provides YES and NO boxes which allow the person giving notice to indicate whether or not the property will be used as the principal place of residence.
It is essential that these new forms are used where dealings are to be lodged at the Land Data Registration Branch on and after 1 July 2002.
Clients who have purchased and currently use the Land Titles Office forms on disc should be aware that the Notice of Sale forms have been re-designed and that they should delete the old versions (stored in the "TASLTO" template folder). These clients can obtain the new versions of the NOS 1 and NOS 2, in template format, by email by directing a request to the Land Data Registration Branch.
