CIRCULAR MEMORANDUM NO. 3 OF 1998

SUBJECT: STRATA TITLES ACT 1998 - RELIEF REGISTER

Introduction
On 31 July 1998 Part 9 of the Strata Titles Act 1998 came into effect. This part provides the requirements for an application for relief to be made to the Recorder of Titles.

Relief Register
Section 140 of the Strata Titles Act 1998 requires the Recorder of Titles to maintain a "Relief Register" for keeping records of proceedings taken under Part 9.

The Relief Register is recorded electronically and is a separate register from Tasfol.

The Relief Register may be searched as provided in Section 141 of the Strata Titles Act 1998 by written request in the form attached to this Circular accompanied by the prescribed search fee of $15.00.

Note
Applications for relief will not be disclosed on a Result of Search of the folio of the Register from Tasfol.
