The Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment sought feedback on a discussion paper as part of the review of the Strata Titles Act 1998 (the Act). The Act regulates the development and planning of strata titles developments and day-to-day living in a strata titles development in Tasmania.
The discussion paper contained 18 focus areas that were chosen based upon responses to a 2018 consultation paper, reviews in other jurisdictions and practical experience in applying the Act. It was not an exhaustive list and responses were not intended to be limited to addressing the matters specified for consideration. The paper aimed to address areas of importance for both current and future strata developments.
