The Racing Integrity Committee provides independent oversight of integrity and animal welfare related functions within Tasracing’s operational structure. Its responsibilities include:
Advising on and monitoring integrity and animal welfare standards across all racing codes.
Overseeing the appointment and dismissal of the Chief Racing Integrity Officer and stewards.
Supporting the structural separation of regulatory and enforcement functions from Tasracing’s commercial operations.
Working in coordination with the Tasmanian Racing Integrity Commissioner, who holds statewide oversight of integrity standards, investigations and compliance.
