​​​Two environmental flows assessments have been undertaken for the Tomahawk River. An assessment that employed a hydrological approach (completed in 2000) examined minimum environmental flows for the Tomahawk River. A more rigorous assessment that employed the IFIM (complete in 2002) was undertaken in support of a proposed irrigation scheme in the catchment.
