  • Cultural Permits
    If you want to take or possess wildlife or wildlife products for cultural purposes, you will need a cultural permit.
  • Wildlife Rehabilitation Permits
    If you want to possess wildlife for the purpose of rehabilitating and releasing injured and orphaned wildlife you will require a wildlife rehabilitation permit.
  • Application for an Authority
    This application form is to be used if you are applying to the Commissioner of Police for a firearms licence under the Firearms Act 1996, and your genuine reason for possessing and/or using a firearm is recreational hunting or vermin control.
  • Commercial Purposes Licence
    If you want to possess, sell, or otherwise dispose of, the products of partly protected or of protected wildlife, then you will need to apply for a Commercial Purposes Licence.
  • Commercial Wildlife Traders Licence
    If you want to trade products of wildlife, then you will need to apply for a Commercial Wildlife Traders Licence.
  • Consultations
    Public comments are invited on Wildlife Management consultations.
  • Herpetofauna Permits
    All you need to know to complete your application to keep and display reptiles and amphibians in Tasmania.
  • Licence and Permit Fees
    Licence and permit fees for licences and permits issued by Natural Cultural Heritage.
  • Nomination for Listing or Delisting of a Taxon of Flora or Fauna
    Used by the general public for nominating species for appraisal by the Threatened Species Scientific Advisory Committee.
  • Relevant Offences
    Lists the nominated offences within the particular Acts that are deemed by the Secretary as relevant for applicants of permits and licences.
  • Scientific Permits for Fauna
    A scientific permit is usually required for research involving the collection or disturbance of protected wildlife in Tasmania.
  • Special Purposes Wildlife Permit to Possess Protected Wildlife
    Application form to renew a permit for protected species. All Protected Species (including birds) currently in the permit holder's possession are to be entered on this form.
  • Taxidermy Permit and Licences
    If you want to undertake taxidermy, then you will need a commercial or personal use Taxidermy Licence.

    Information relating to the display of wildlife for educational purposes
