Special Purposes Wildlife Permit to Possess Protected Wildlife

​​​​A Special Purposes Wildlife Permit to Possess Protected wildlife allows the permit holder to possess protected wildlife such as birds which are listed ​under the Nature Conservation (Wildlife) Regulations 2021.

Fee: Nil

Duration: up to five (5) years from the date of issue, until 31 July of the fifth year.

How do I apply?

Lodge an Application to Possess Wildlife by completing the form below and submitting to Wildlife Services.
If you require a permit to possess aviculture lodge an Application to Possess Wildlife (Aviculture) by completing the form below and submitting to Wildlife Services.

If you hold an existing aviculture permit that is expiring soon and you wish to continue to possess and trade aviculture, complete the Special Purposes Wildlife Permit to continue to possess and trade wildlife (aviculture) application form.
