Access to Private Land for Hunting

Access to private land must be negotiated between you and the owner

If you are shooting on private land you will need to provide written consent from the landowner, not manager, to have permission to shoot on their land. Their written consent must be attached to your firearms application.

If you are shooting on a property under a Property Protection Permit, the permit holder will provide an Agent's copy of their permit. The permit will state which species you can take. You will still require a hunting licence for the species if you intend to remove it from the property. A Property Protection Permit may have some additional conditions to a hunting licence. Please check the conditions on the Agents copy provided to you.
