Antlerless deer season information
Bookings for the 2025 Antlerless Deer Hunting Season have now closed.
Hunting Group Leaders who purchased a ticket (maximum of 2) have been emailed or posted the information pack for the period and Reserve selected.
The information pack contains terms and conditions, and the Game Authority that provides the approval to hunt anterless deer on specified Reserve land.
If you purchased a ticket and have not received an information pack, please contact Game Services Tasmania via email at deerballot@nre.tas.gov.au or phone FarmPoint on 1300 292 292.
Tooms Lake Conservation Area notice
Please be advised that Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service will conduct hazard reduction burns at Tooms Lake Conservation Area during April 2025.
To ensure the safety of hunters, the area is no longer available to hunt antlerless deer for the remainder of 2025.
Game Services Tasmania has contacted all affected ticket holders and issued new Game Authorities (via email) to reallocate affected hunters to other Reserves for the same hunting period.

Reserve closures
Castle Cary, Buxton River, Tooms Lake are closed to hunting from 1 July 2025 – 28 February 2026.
Great Lake Conservation Area: Tumbledown Creek - Gunns Marsh and Little Lake is closed to hunting 24 April 2025 to 6 August 2025.
Great Western Tiers Conservation Area: Parson & Clerk Mountain is closed to hunting 24 April 2025 to 6 August 2025.
Can I change group members, the Reserve or period we have a ticket for?
Unfortunately, not. You can however update personal information including contact details, vehicle information etc by contacting Game Services Tasmania.
